Austin Gorski is a director, editor, producer, and screenwriter living in New Orleans, Louisiana. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Austin has years of experience in the film industry. Alongside directing, editing, and writing, Austin has also worked on-set as a 1st assistant director, on-set DIT, and as a script supervisor.

Austin saw awards recognition for his college thesis film, ‘Reconcile’. The film won the Gold Jurors Award at his school’s “Best Of” Film Awards Ceremony in 2019. The short film also played in competition at the Sarasota Film Festival and Orlando Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Student Film.

Right after graduating from Ringling College of Art & Design with a Undergraduate Degree in Digital Filmmaking, Austin was hired to work alongside the Bridges Family as a co-producer and as the 1st assistant director on the feature film “Acting: The First Six Lessons”. The film, which stars Beau and Emily Bridges, is now available to rent and purchase.

More recently, Austin has edited music videos for bands such as Sum Sun and Kids That Fly, edited the feature-length anthology film “Blades of Grass”.

Austin is currently in post-production on the short film “Strand”, which he directed, edited, and co-produced.

The film will be premiering at festivals in the coming months.
